KOOS: A WOODEN PAVILION

Objective: Built in Valga, Estonia in 2020 by our Interior Architecture course, based on the vision and drawings of Anni Kõrvemaa (DAR), the project explores how a small wooden pavilion can coexist with its natural environment.

Designed with minimal impact, it respects existing ecosystems—especially ant habitats and movement paths—while subtly engaging hikers. Inspired by natural tree communications by their roots and the bending properties of wood, the pavilion uses minimal material and land, emphasizing sensitivity, sustainability, and togetherness.
